Feral Kids Academy

Steven & Jennifer: We are the homeschooling parents of this rag-tag crew. We have been married for a little over a year (at the time of this writing) and live on the Oregon Coast. We are in transition since moving to the coast from an inland community. We are currently living in a 29 ft travel trailer while we tie up loose ends and various projects. The major ones are:

1. Remodel and sale of Jennifer’s house.
2. Remodel of Steven’s house for adult daughter and mother to eventually move into. After these projects are completed, we will be embarking on our final project.
3. Building three pontoon houseboats to live on full time at our lake property on the coast. We both work full time as caregivers to our adult daughter, which allows us the freedom to do travel, and live an unconventional life.
4. It is our dream, once we are on the boats, to turn those boats essentially into floating libraries, with a massive collection of print (and even greater collection of digital) books ranging from classics to modern, fiction, non-fiction, focusing on all areas of inquiry, including but not limited to: science, mathematics, theology, Bible, philosophy, history, and how-to (especially wilderness survival). Life on the boats we hope will be one of extended leisure and free time to study, read, do crafts, art, and focus our concerted efforts on a fiction book writing ministry along with teaching online classes in Bible, theology, and Christian Philosophy.

Skye: This is a young lady who is doing great in her studies thus far. Her interests are cooking, taking care of her little sister (who is 4), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, language learning, history, and art. Skye loves working with clay and is exploring Japanese calligraphy. She is currently taking math and science classes from Khan Academy, Bible classes from Koinonia Institute and has daily spelling and vocabulary as well as writing and reading assignments.

Jeremiah: This young man is fascinated with how things work. He would like to be an engineer when he grows up and he loves pizza, Romin, ice cream, candy, and he likes to punch and kick everything. He’s a boy on the go! In his free time he likes shoot BB guns and loves the trampoline park.

Elly: This young lady is a princess in the making. She is always busy. Always on the go. Always wanting to do “schoolwork.” Always terrorizing her older siblings. And she will most likely rule us all one day. Her school currently consists of learning to read from Bob Books, McGuffey Readers, learning programs on her tablet, and other activities. She is very excited about getting her first Macbook in a few days.
